A small container named Pause was launched this week, following on from the idea of a Faraday cage, which is an enclosure that blocks electric fields.

Pause works in a similar way to help you disconnect from your smartphone.

You simply put your phone into the box, close the lid and then Pause will interfere with the surrounding radio waves and instead it will transform them into electric fields and heat.

The company says that this will stop signals from getting to your phone and effectively silencing your phone.

They are hoping to raise $36,000 on Indiegogo to get this project into production.
