So far, in the UK at least, the BlackBerry Z10 has only been available on a contract, with those wanting a SIM-free version having to wait, however CrackBerry is reporting that retailers will in fact be receiving unlocked devices soon.

Even though a lot of phone sales normally come from those who buy Pay As You Go phones, sales for the ZZ10 have actually bee pretty good in these last few weeks, with the companies CEO, Thorsten Heins mentioning that,  “In the UK, we have seen close to three times our best performance ever for the first week of sales for a BlackBerry smartphone.” in an earlier statement.

Which could mean that it might pay to grab your spot on the reserve list if you’re looking to pick up a Z10 at launch.

At the moment however, this is all simply rumors, we should have more concrete information soon.
