In the US, NFC payments are huge and have really hit smartphone shoppers by storm, but here in the UK it’s a rare sight to see someone paying for an item with their phone, but PayPal is seeking to change this with some all new partnerships.

The first 4 of these partnerships are with some of the biggest UK retailers and includes Warehouse, Oasis, Coast and Karen Millen, and will be offering a new “InStore” payment service in 230 of their stores from tomorrow.

You will have to do a couple of things before you can start billing your PayPal account, the first of which is to download and install the InStore app on your Andriod or iOS device, after which all you need to do is load the app and login with your PayPal account.

You will then get your very own barcode, which allows you to scan in the store and pay for any of your chosen goods with your PayPal account, which even works offline.

What do you think about this? Let us know if you have used it yet in the comments below.
