In yet another camera release, Pentax has introduced the world to their latest superzoom camera, the X-5 which packs a 22.3 – 580mm wide-angle lens, with a new 1cm-from-lens macro mode for easier close-up shooting.

The X-5 also includes a 16 megapixel, back-illuminated CMOS sensor that can shoot from ISO 100-6400, and includes Shake Reduction software to prevent blurry images.

There’s also a Handheld Night Scene mode, which will take multiple shots a once before processing them all into one final image, which is great for low-light conditions, the X-5 also includes Full 1080p HD video capturing, digital filters and a 10 FPS burst mode.
