Back at IFA earlier this month, Philips unveiled a new and simply massive 49-inch curved monitor.

It’s called the Philips 492P8 and has been designed to be a more affordable ultra-wide curved monitor than some of the other options out there.

Despite that, the 492P8 comes with some pretty great specs, including a 49-inch LED panel that has a 3,840 x 1,080-pixel resolution alongside a 1800R curvature, 32:9 aspect ratio, sRGB colour gamut, and a 178 degree viewing angle.

It also features a DisplayPort, a HDMI port, a USB Type-C port, and a D-Sub connector for connecting your devices to it alongside a dual-port USB 3.0 and Ethernet hub in-built that will allow you to use your USB devices and an Ethernet connection over a single USB Type-C connection.

It also features two 3.5mm audio connections for connecting a set of headphones and a microphone separately.

The Philips 492P8 will be available during the second quarter of 2018 for €899 in Europe or for $1,077 in the US.
