Due to Ultra HD Blu-ray format being relatively new format, there aren’t too many options around to play these discs.

That said, there is one more option from Philips, which will be launched in two models called the BDP7501 and the BDP7301.

Both of these are priced at $400 in the US and can play Ultra HD Blu-ray discs and they have support for playing back HDR content, however, you will need a TV that also supports that for it to work.

It will also come with support for both Dolby TrueHD Audio and DTS-HD Master Audio, and an HDMI-out for receivers that aren’t yet compatible with 4K.

It can also stream 4K content from both Netflix and YouTube.

The BDP7501 will come in brushed aluminum and the BDP7301 will be available in Piano Black.
