Philips has today announced a new collaboration with  DJ Armin van Buuren to create something they call the M1X-DJ, a new sound system which links with an iPad and the djay 2 app from Algoriddim, proving a sound system and mixing pads in on system.

Connecting with both Lightning and Bluetooth, the speakers can output a max of 80 Watts of power, with support for DJ controls like cross faders and more.

There’s also multiple outputs and inputs allowing you to hook the system up to a bigger system, and with Bluetooth you can play music from any enabled device.

It will also support an iPhone 5 running the djay 2 app.

The Philips M1X DJ sound system will be available in November for 399.95 euros (£338).
