Plantronics has this week announced a new set of wireless headphones, called the Plantronics BackBeat SENSE, which promise excellent audio quality along with great comfort that Plantronics say will allow for long periods of usage.
The headphones also feature Plantronics’ audio technology, with smart sensors that know when the headphones have been taken off and will pause the music automatically, preserving the battery life, when you put them back on the music will automatically fade back in.
The headphones also use Bluetooth technology and can be paired with up to two devices at the same time, on a single charge Plantronics say that they should last about 18 hours, with memory foam ear pads and a headband that is said to fit most head sizes.
In total the headphones weigh 140 grams.
The BackBeat SENSE headphones can also be used from up to 330 feet away from the device they are paired to according to Plantronics, and the headphones include a microphone for HD voice communications, allowing you to take calls and talk to Cortana, Siri or Google Now without having to take the headphones off.
The Plantronics BackBeat SENSE are available for $179.99 in the US, no UK pricing has been announced yet.
