Sony has just confirmed at their E3 press briefing, that the PlayStation 4 will require users to sign up to PlayStation Plus in order to play games online, similar to Xbox Live Gold, you will not be able to play multiplayer games such as CoD, until you have a subscription.

Sony have confirmed however that all single player games and media content will be available without a subscription, and you can transfer your current PS3 membership to the console.

Sony will also be bringing the following games to the Instant Game Collection, Don’t Starve, Outlast, Secret Ponchos, and DriveClub PS Plus Edition.
