Ubisoft revealed that they will be launching a new sequel to Far Cry called Far Cry 4, releasing for consoles and the PC on November 18th 2014.
Now we have new plot and storyline details for the game, revealing more about the games setting in Himalaya, coming from an early posting of the game by Ubisoft themselves.
“Hidden in the majestic Himalayas lies Kyrat, a country steeped in tradition and violence. You are Ajay Ghale. Traveling to Kyrat to fulfill your mother’s dying wish, you find yourself caught up in a civil war to overthrow the oppressive regime of dictator Pagan Min.”
“Explore and navigate this vast open world, where danger and unpredictability lurk around every corner. Here, every decision counts, and every second is a story. Welcome to Kyrat.”
A NeoGAF posting also revealed that the man featured in the poster above, won’t actually be a playable character, and he is not in fact white, despite the fact that he looks it.
When launched Far Cry 4 will be available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and the Xbox 360, and will is expected to launch on the PC at a later point.
Ubisoft has also promised that Far Cry 4 will release with a “vast array of weapons”, alongside a number of vehicles and animals to interact with in the game.
Far Cry 4 is now available to pre-order in the US for $60 on November 18 in the US, November 20 in Europe and November 21 in the UK for PC, PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
Customers who pre-order the game will receive the Limited Edition of the game, which will include Hurk’s Redemption, which is a series of three single-player missions that feature Hurk from the Far Cry 3 DLC. The Limited Edition version will also include Hurk’s signature harpoon gun called “The Impaler”.
