It has been a year since Niantic first took over the news, the streets, and pretty much everywhere else with their extremely popular Pokemon Go game.

The quickly became a phenomenon around the world, so much so that police stations were telling players to the enter, train stations had to warn people about going on the tracks and someone even found a body while hunting for their next Pokemon.

That all happened on July 13th last year, meaning that today is Pokemon Go’s first anniversary.

To celebrate that anniversary, Niantic has launched a Pikachu-themed event in game that is offering players with the chance to capture a Pikachu that is wearing Ash’s hat from the animated series.There will also be a new Anniversary Box store item for a limited time, featuring Incubators, Max Revives, Ultra Balls and a Raid Pass at a discount.

On top of that, you will also be able to pick up an Anniversary Box store item, which will give you a chance to grab incubators, max revives, ultra balls, and a Raid Pass at a discount.
