The developers behind the popular Popcorn Time streaming application announced the launch of the service online, allowing the service to be accessed right from the browser.

Dubbed Popcorn Time Online, the new version will offer similar features to the original application, alongside other tweaks to improve it. This was all announced on the official Popcorn Time blog, where they revealed that the new web browser version will even be superior to the app version as it can handle just about every video format available.

They also claim that the online version of Popcorn Time will allow users to stream any kind of video with relatively low trouble, in high quality, all with the help of technology from Torrents Time.

Users will also be able to stream videos directly from the website to Airplay, Chromecast and DLNA, and to avoid legal troubles the developer’s are opting to stay anonymous.

This comes after the service was shut down a number of times after copyright claims.
