There has been a lot of wars between the film and television industry and the torrent industry, and I’m sure there might be another one soon as a new piece of software has today been launched in beta that allows users to stream movie torrents instead of taking the time to download them.

Now in version 2.5, the beta software could be the new Netflix for pirates, allowing users to stream movies in 720p and 1080p from a piece of software that is easy to use and look at, as well as allowing them to stream some of the latest films from around the world, with what the developer claims to be some of the best quality torrents available.

You don’t need any other dedicated software to watch films on Popcorn Time, and to use it you just click, which could prove scary for some of the people behind these films, as it makes watching illegal torrents incredibly easy for anyone, however the software’s developer says that “we don’t expect legal issues.”

“We don’t host anything, and none of the developers makes any money. There are no ads, no premium accounts, and no subscription fees or anything like that. It’s an experiment to learn and share.”

If you want to check it give it a search on Google, we won’t link to it just because we don’t want to promote it too much.
