There have been a few rumors surrounding the codenamed “Yuga” and “Odin” smartphones from Sony, but now these rumors have come true as Sony has officially revealed press images for the both headsets named the Xperia Z and ZL.

The images which you can see above look to show the same phone at first glance, but the ZL does look a little more compact with rumors suggesting it will have the same specs as the Z however, that could not be the case.

The specs which have been rumored include a 5 inch display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution, quad-core Qualcomm processor and a 13 megapixel camera on the rear.

However that would seem to be a little stupid on Sony’s part as it means they would be releasing exactly the same phone with two names basically, to put it bluntly were not to sure what will happen.

However as CES 2013 goes down in Las Vagas next week we are soon find out more.

Until then you can keep up with all the current news and future news on our CES 2013 page.
