If you have a contactless card in your wallet and you are not worried about it then you definitely should be. More and more, hackers are using scanners to detect your personal information from these cards and use it to make fraudulent purchases.

There are a few ways to protect against this thankfully, however, not many of those actually work as you would expect. That’s where Vaultcard wants to come in.

Designed to be an effortless solution to protect yourself from skimming devices, Vaultcard is a credit card-sized device that uses “patent pending military jamming technology” to shield your contactless cards and other RFID cards and documents from RFID fraud.

The creators of the card, Vaultskin say that this is the most effective solution for protecting your data as it can completely block RFID signals from some of the most powerful skimming devices, and it can do so for multiple cards at the same time.

What’s more, it does all of this without the need of any kind of battery, and Vaultskin says that with this, it is capable of lasting forever.

By now you are probably wondering how all of this works. Well to find out you can start by watching the video above. Vaultskin has also set up a website to explain all of the tech jargon here.

The Vaultcard is currently a project on Kickstarter, but as it has raised well over its £15,000 goal (it’s achieved over £83,000 at the time of writing), it’s production is pretty close to guaranteed. It is also available for pre-order from Vaultskin’s website for £24.99.

That said you can still back the project on Kickstarter for a discounted price. Check it out at the source link below.
