This week an interesting personal assistant was launched on the Indiegogo crowdfunding platform.

Called the Q.bo One, it is an open-source personal assistant that was developed by a team of creators from Barcelona, Spain with the aim of making social robots accessible to everyone.

But it’s not just that.

Q.bo One has also been designed for learning about development as well, with the ability to use OpenCV to develop facial recognition for the system that can maintain eye contact with you when you are talking to the assistant.

You can also install a synthesiser and speech recognition to create your own personal assistant, or use an existing AI assistant like Alexa or Cortana.
