The Raspberry Pi foundation has today announced that the first batch of their weather stations for the Raspberry Pi are shipping to UK schools.

From today a batch of Raspberry Pi weather stations will be shipping out to the first 150 schools who were lucky enough to be chosen, they will be shipped to these schools free of charge, and come as a full kit.

The Raspberry Pi foundation has been developing the kits for nearly two years now, and hope that they will help kids around the UK to learn how to code.

Included in the kit is everything the child needs to record wind speed, rainfall, barometric pressure and more.

They are also thinking about making commercial kits for those who weren’t lucky enough, however, they have not confirmed any details about that.

You can find out more about it at the source link.
