Recently a fake 90% off coupon code was found to work on the UK version of the RazerStore, of course customers took advantage of this and starting using it at checkout, hoping to save a fair bit of their purchases.

Of course, most companies would simply recall all of these sales, something which would be perfectly legal, however Razer have decided not to, honoring all of the orders which don’t seem to have took advantage of the slip up.

Razer’s CEO, Min-Liang Tan said the following about the code on his Facebook page:

“[We’ve} always had a customer comes first policy at Razer and in respect of this incident, we have decided to honor the orders that were placed using the unauthorized code by Razer fans buying single products for their own use.”

Continuing to say, “For orders in the multiples of units for a single product, we will still give each an opportunity to purchase one item of each product ordered at the 90% off discount but not for multiple units of the same product. Our focus is on doing the right thing for our fans, the gamers and the community, not for resellers or users to profit from this. That’s not gaming, that’s not our deal.”

Of course as Tan wrote, that this will cost the company “an insane amount of losses,” however he says the company want to do right by its community, however it seems that some Reddit users have found some sense of kindness and have started to cancel their orders which used the codes, replying to a post on the site with their stories.

This whole story simply shows how good Razer’s customer service is, I have been using products from them for years now, and so have many others, and despite their kinda steep prices, the company always performs when it comes to customer support, still replacing customers faulty products after they have been sold years ago.

Truly, there is not a bad word to say about Razer on this day.
