Razer has today announced the release of its latest headphones: the Razer Kraken Forged Edition, available to pre-purchase from today, they come with an aircraft-grade aluminum design that has been finished with a matte texture, alongside plush leatherette ear cushions that line the ear cups and a fully adjustable headband that allows the headphones to be folded into a lightweight and easy to carry shape, with the entire headphone weighing just 390 grams.

On one side of the headphones you will find the port for the swappable cable, allowing the user to switch between either the 3.5mm to 2.5mm audio cable with inline microphone, or the normal 3.5mm to 2.5mm cable, allowing users to easily convert the headset into one for gaming or just for use with a smartphone.

There’s also a 1/4 audio connector adapter included for use with older systems, alongside a hard carrying case for storing the headphones on the go. In terms of specs, the Kraken Forged headphones feature custom-tuned 40 mm neodymium magnet drivers, with a frequency response of 20 – 20,000 Hz, impedance of 32 ? at 1 kHz, sensitivity at 1 kHz: 100 dB ± 3 dB and an input power of 30mW.

The Razer Kraken Forged headphones are available for pre-purchase from today from Razer’s website, priced at $299.99 in the US or €299.99 in Europe, they will begin shipping in December.
