Today Razer unveiled a brand new keyboard that will be taking over from their BlackWidow Chroma keyboard.
Called the BlackWidow Chroma V2, it builds upon the original version with a range of new features that will no only make it better to use but also provide it with more Chroma.
One of the biggest changes is the addition of new individually backlit keys that offer 16.8 million colours per key.
These can show various Chroma effects and can be controller via Razer’s Synapse.
To top that off, the Chroma V2 also features a magnetic wrist rest that can be removed if you so wish to, along with the option to use the new Razer Yellow switches, which promise a silent linear design with a shorter travel distance.
They provide 45g of actuation force with up to an 80 million keystroke rating.
Razer explained more with the following:
Designed specifically for gaming, Razer Mechanical Switches actuate at an optimal distance, giving you speed and responsiveness like never before. Razer Mechanical Switches have been lauded as the new standard for all mechanical gaming keyboards since their introduction.
Razer Mechanical Switches have consistently proven themselves to be the best for gaming, delivering both top-notch performance and reliable durability without compromise. This very same Razer technology and design is now being manufactured in-house end to end, ensuring even stricter requirements are met for each switch produced, resulting in a life span of up to 80 million key strokes.
