Razer has today announced that they have upgraded the Blade gaming laptop that the unveiled last year, announcing a similar looking model but with a brand new set of specifications.

Still featuring the same CNC-machined black aluminium body with green cents to match the Razer logo, the 2015 Razer Blade is just 0.7 inches thick and weighs about 4.5 pounds, all of which is similar to the 2014 model.

However the specifications on the 2015 model are different, including a 14 inch IGZO touchscreen that features a 3,200 x 1,800 pixel resolution and 262 ppi.

There’s also three USB 3.0 ports, stereo speakers and Dolby Digital Plus 7.1 with HDMI 1.4 out.

TO top that off there’s also a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M graphics card, and NVIDIA’s Maxwell architecture. This an upgrade from the 2014’s Kepler-architecture and 870M GPU.

Razer have also added 3GB of VRAM, a 2.66GHz quad-core Intel Core i7-4720HQ CPU, overlocking up to 3.6GHz and 16GB of RAM. Finally there’s also the choice between 128GB, 256GB and 512GB SSDs.
