After a number of rumours, Rockstar Games has finally confirmed that Red Dead Redemption will be launching on the Xbox One.

Set to be launched as part of the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility platform, it will be launched on Friday, July 8th.

Anyone who has purchased the original version of game on the Xbox 360 will be able to download it at no extra charge, or purchase it from the Xbox Store on the Xbox One.

You will get it for free no matter which version you have previously owned, the original game, Undead Nightmare and the Game of the Year edition.

This comes after it was originally leaked backed in 2010 that it be launched on his program.
