A red version of the LG Nexus 5 was released on Google Play yesterday after being rumoured for release for a few weeks now, bringing the count of colours available with the Nexus 5 up to three, adding to the already available black and white versions.

Dubbed “Bright Red”, the new colour option has been listed on Google Play for £299 for the 16GB version and £339 for the 32GB version, which is the same pricing as the other versions.

The new colour will also be available at Carphone Warehouse in the UK for £298 on Pay as you Go or for £21 a month on Pay Monthly.

The Nexus 5 was first released in November 2013, and features Android 4.4 KitKat, with a 4.95 inch 1920 x 1080 display, 2.26GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, wireless charging, 8 megapixel rear-facing camera, 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera, 32GB of internal storage and 2GB of RAM.

Google is also rumoured to soon release a yellow version of the Nexus 5, said to be released in late February or March.
