[Update March 8th] Registration for Google I/O 2016 has now opened.
[Original Story] Google has today launched the website for its next Google I/O conference, which is set to kick off from May 18th.
Alongside the launch of the new website for the event, Google also revealed that those interested in attending will be able to register for the chance to buy a ticket from March 8th to March 18th.
Registration won’t guarantee you a ticket however, as in order to stop the event from immediately selling out, Google will draw names at random to pick who gets to buy a ticket. If your name has been chosen then you will have the opportunity to pay the $900 ticket price to get into the event.
The event will be the stage where Google will reveal its plans about the year ahead, as well as the results of the previous year.
We expect that Google will unveil details on the next version of Android, its plans for Chromebooks, virtual reality and of course, their various website properties, search, maps, Gmail and more.
The event will also be live-streamed, so if you don’t get the chance to buy a ticket then you can still watch the event unfold.
