A lot of the rumors we hear lately are about a smartwatch from one manufacturer or another, today’s smartwatch rumor being for the recently leaked Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch, which has had some reported specs leak today via GigaOm, who claim the device will be announced before IFA 2013 on September 4th.

Specs include a 2.5 inch rectangular screen, some sort of camera and of course a strap. Rumors suggest that the camera will be built into the watches clasp and will beam photos to your Galaxy smartphone, connecting to device via Bluetooth 4.0.

The site also suggests that their will be a ton of sensors in-built including an accelerometer, NFC and fitness tracking.

GigaOm also say that Twitter and Facebook will be built right into the watch, which will be running either Android 4.2 or 4.2, and will be able to display notifications from your smartphone.

The report also claims that it will use its own app store rather than the Google Play Store.

However at the moment, there’s nothing official yet.
