In a recent post it seems Reuters has confirmed the circulating rumor that the next iPhone will not include the usual 30-pin dock connector in favor for a smaller 19-pin connector, alongside this they also seem to confirm the relocation of the headphone port to the bottom, like an iPod:

“The iPhone 5, Apple’s next generation iPhone expected to go on sale around October, will come with a 19-pin connector port at the bottom instead of the proprietary 30-pin port “to make room for the earphone moving to the bottom”.

According to an Analyst this of course will mean more business for everyone as it will mean customers and manufacturers will have to upgrade all of their equipment to fit the new connector.

What do you think? Will we be seeing a 19-pin connector released this year?
