It’s called the Ring Video Doorbell 2 and is already available in the UK with its 1080p recording and removable battery pack. Today they expanded upon that launch, releasing the new smart doorbell in the UK for those of use across the UK.
Aside from that up in recording quality and the interchangeable faceplates, it is pretty similar to the first-generation device as it is still wireless, connected, and it features the same 160-degree field-of-view and the 180-degree motion detection angle.
Last month, Ring announced a second generation version of its famed Ring Video Doorbell for the US, this time with a removable battery pack so you don’t have to take the entire unit off the wall. Now it is available in the UK too.
It also features two-way audio, allowing you to speak to a visitor over a smartphone of the computer, along with night-vision capabilities and 802.11b/g/n 2.4GHz WiFi.
You can buy it from Selfridges in the UK or from Ring’s website for £179.
