Jeremy Dunham, the Vice President of Marketing at Psyonix took to the PlayStation blog this week to announce that a Winter Games event for Rocket League will be taking place next month, kicking off on December 14th.
The day will allow plays to access a range of new game modes, including the Snow Day mode which will replace the existing Mutator Mashup online playlist.
Dunham explains more :
Besides “Snow Day,” December 14 will also bring several new holiday-themed Garage items! Like October’s Halloween treats before them, the items from Rocket League’s “Winter Games” are limited-time goodies unlocked by simply playing matches (it doesn’t matter if you win or lose!). Though their chances of dropping are lower than a “standard” item’s, the “Winter Games” collection is also yours to keep once you’ve found them. Fail to get all the items before January 4, however, and you’ll have to wait until next year to get them again!
Prior to the Winter Games event starting December 14, our next DLC, “Chaos Run,” will release next week on December 1 for $3.99 USD! You WILL NOT need to purchase any DLC to gain access to “Snow Day” or the “Winter Games” items, nor will you need the DLC to access our new “Wasteland” map that ships on the same day. If you’re down for some cool, post-apocalyptic exclusive Battle-Cars and customization items, however, then Chaos Run is definitely for you
Here’s the full list on including Winter Event items:
- “Xmas” Rocket Trail
- “Blitzen” Topper
- “Christmas Tree” Topper
- “Sad Sapling” Topper
- “Santa” Topper
- “Candy Cane” Antenna
- “Holiday Gift” Antenna
