Samsung has just announced their very first portable SSD drive, which has been dubbed the Portable SSD T1.

Samsung says that this might be one of the best options to store your data securely but in a highly portable option, in fact it has stated that the drive is smaller than a credit card, making it extremely portable.

The drive uses the USB 3.0 interface and V-NAND chips to make sure every stays as speedy as possible, with read and write speeds of 450 MB/s.

There’s three options for the Portable SSD T1, a 250GB option that costs $100, 500GB option that costs $300 and a 1TB option that will be priced at $600.

Samsung says that the T1 should hit stores in the US from mid-January.
