If you haven’t bought the Samsung Galaxy S III yet, it’s probably because blue and white aren’t your first choice in a phones colour, if that’s the case you may be glad to know that Samsung have just announced the release of a new range of colours for the smartphone.

These will include Amber Brown, Garnet Red, Sapphire Black (finally) and Titanium Grey, all of which will be available on the same device as the blue and white editions just a different colour, all of which, according to Samsung has been inspired from more than the colour chart at B&Q.

Amber Brown was apparently inspired by the  “mysterious and unique gem”, Garnet Red is named after the “rare and special, the gemstone Almandite Garnet was worn as an amulet by the ancient Egyptians who believed the stone contained protective powers, ” Sapphire Black is apparently inspired by the stone used by the ancient people of India and Persia for protection. “intelligence, insight and curiosity,” to me it’s just some made-up marketing scheme.

Samsung has said however that some countries will not see some of the colors, so don’t hold out for just one.
