Samsung has this week revealed a release date for their recently announced Chromebook 2 laptop, revealing that the 11.6 inch model will be available from “selected retailers” from May 1st, whilst the 13.3 inch model will be available later on May 12th.

In terms of specs there’s a Exynos 5 Octa-Core processor inside, with a clock speed of 1.9GHz in the 11.6 inch model, and 2.1GHz in the 13.3 inch one.

Alongside that the 11.6 inch model has 2GB of RAM, whereas the 13.6 inch one has 4GB.

Both will also feature 16GB of flash memory, and include a 720p HD webcam, the 11.6 inch Chromebook 2 also has a 1366 x 768 pixel resolution, whilst the 13.3 inch version has a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution.

The 11.6 inch version will be available in jet black and classic white when it launches, whilst the 13.3 inch version will only be available in luminous titan grey only.
