Normally when rumours come along they are from some anonymous factory worker allegedly confirming a new product, but this time, it’s a Samsung Official who split the beans on Apples Mini tablet, according to  Korea Timesthe official said the tablet will measure 7.85 inches which are a bit smaller than the current 9.7 inches, but still quite a small display.

The reason Samsung might know about this is because they are the ones providing Apple with the display, as well as the RAM:

“The contract is expected to rise to $11 billion by the end of this year as Apple is planning to release a smaller iPad, probably with a 7.85-inch screen, and to sell more of its MacBook Air PCs using Samsung’s faster solid state drive (SSD) storage,’’

Finishing off he also added that the tablet is most likely to arrive by the end of the year, and in our guess it could be July or October depending on how much Apple decides to reveal this year.
