For some time now we have heard various rumours of when the Samsung Galaxy Gear S would be launching on different dates, with various third part retailers announced that it would be launching last month (which obviously didn’t happen).

Now there are no more rumours to look at as Samsung has today officially confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy Gear S smart watch will be available to but from November 7th, at which point the device will be sold direct from Samsung’s website and with the UK-based mobile carrier O2 in the UK.

At launch the Gear S will run on Samsung’s Tizen OS and will come with 3G built in, allowing it to be used independently from your smartphone or tablet, or even still paired with those devices if you would like.

The Gear S is also equipped with a 2 inch Super AMOLED display with a 360 x 480 pixel resolution, a 1GHz dual-core processor, 4GB of built-in storage and 512MB of RAM.

On top of that the Gear S also includes a 300 mAh battery that is said to last up to two days, along with WiFi and Bluetooth.

The Samsung Gear S will be available in the UK for £329 when it goes on sale on November 7th.
