Three have just announced on their Twitter account that the Samsung Galaxy S III will be getting the new Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update in the UK.

Thankfully the software looks as though it would be over the air, meaning you wont have to plug-in you’re USB cable just to get the Jelly Bean update.

To upgrade all you need to head over to  Settings > About device > Software update and check for the new update, which might not appear today as it can sometime take a few days extra to reach you.

There’s no news if any other UK networks will be receiving the new update, but we should hear more information from O2, Vodafone, Orange and T-Mobile.

We’ve contacted the other networks about their Galaxy S3 updates, but we’re still waiting to hear back from O2, Vodafone, Orange or T-Mobile.
