Samsung has today officially announced a new tablet called the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2. Available in two sizes, one with an 8 inch display with a 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution and the other with a 9.7 inch display and 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution.
The Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 also features an oct-core processor with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage built into the device.
There’s also a microSD card slot for up to 128GB of expansion, with a 2.1 megapixel front facing camera and an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera. There’s also WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, WiFi Direct, GPS and GLONASS in-built.
You will also find a 4,000 mAh battery inside.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 is similar to the 8.0 model, also featuring an octal core processor , 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage with a microSD card slot.
It also has the same specs in terms of its camera and connectivity, but instead it will have a 5,870 mAh battery.
Both tablets will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
The new Samsung Galaxy S2 tablets will launch worldwide in August, however Samsung has yet to reveal pricing details.
