Samsung has today revealed that the Gear S2 Classic smartwatch with a 3G enabled eSIM will launch in the UK, ahead of MWC 2016.

This comes after the smartwatch was originally launched back in September last year, but it will only be making its way to the UK now.

It features a 1.2-inch AMOLED display, 1GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, 3,000 mAh battery, a heart rate sensor and all running on Tizen OS.

And on top of all that, it also comes with the new eSIM capability, which allows it to connect to a mobile network operator without the need of a physical SIM card.

This allows Samsung to save space and allows them to offer more options to their customers, without the need of PAC codes, shifting numbers or SIM replacements.

The Samsung Gear S2 Classic 3G will be available from March in the UK, but we don’t yet know for how much, although it was priced at $300 in the US.
