At CES 2017 Samsung announced the launch of something that we have all been waiting for, the launch of an iOS app.

In particular, this is an iOS app (well apps, there are two) that brings support for their Gear S2 and Gear S3 smartwatches alongside the Gear Fit 2 fitness tracker.

With the launch of these new apps, users of the wearables will be able to pair their devices with an iPhone at last, previously they were only compatible with Android devices, so anyone who has been waiting for this should be very happy.

With the new Gear S app, you will also be able to download and install apps on the smartwatches as well as receive push notifications on any of the watches from your iPhone.

The app will also allow you to sync health and fitness data with S Health.

In terms of the Gear Fit 2, it will have a separate app that will allow you to receive notifications from your iPhone, as well as sync data to S Health.

Sadly, some of their other wearables such as the IconX wireless earbuds still don’t have support.
