This week Samsung launched some new displays that will use the same Tizen OS system that they have previously used for their smartwatches and smartphones.

This new Tizen OS will be included with Samsung’s new P-Series SMART signage.

Samsung aims to use them as retail displays and with other displays for better functionality, it will be included with the new PHF display, which has a 700nit brightness, as well as the PMF, which has a 500nit brightness.

Seog-gi Kim, Senior Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics explained more about them with the following:

“The launch of Samsung’s new P-Series signage represents a landmark moment for our business, as we’ve made our already industry-leading visual displays even more capable with the addition of the Tizen platform to our SSSP.”

“By equipping our displays with faster and more versatile content management tools, our customers will be better prepared to solve their most prominent customer engagement challenges.”
