Ahead of what we thought would be a MWC 2014 announcement date, Samsung has today announced their latest tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite. Designed for the 7 inch tablet market, the Tab 3 Lite features a 1.2GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM, a 7 inch screen that offers a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution, 2 megapixel rear-facing camera, 8GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot that will allow for a further 32GB of storage.

The tablet also measures 116.4 x 193.4 x 9.7mm and weighs 310g, as well as featuring Android 4.2 Jelly Bean pre-installed, Bluetooth 4 and GPS, the tablet will be available in Wi-Fi only and 3G models, both in black and white variants with a 3600mAh battery.

At the moment there’s no confirmation on pricing or a release date for the tablet.
