Samsung has today revealed the day on which it will be hosting its first Unpacked event of 2014, called Unpacked 5 it will kick of at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain on February 24th.

The date was revealed in an invitation that was sent to members of the media yesterday, hinting at the number 5, its likely Samsung will use the event to unveil the long-rumoured Samsung Galaxy S5, however the company has been known to announce a number of products in the past.

Rumours suggest that Samsung will release two versions of the S5, both will reportedly pack a 5.2 inch display with the usual plastic body, however the “Prime” model will also reportedly feature a 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution with a 565ppi, as well as a 32-bit Octa-Core Samsung Exynos 5430 processor, whilst the “Standard” model will feature a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution with a 423ppi and a 32-bit quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor according to rumours.

Rumours also suggest that the S5 will feature a fingerprint scanner, 3GB of RAM, a 16 megapixel rear-facing camera, 2 megapixel front-facing camera, support for 3D gestures and a 2850mAh battery.

As of yet however, there’s nothing official, so you will just have to wait until February 24th to see what Samsung have up their sleeve.
