Staying in the category of pre-CES 2013 action, Samsung have today unveiled their latest Series 7 Chronos ahead of the event.

The new laptop will of course be an upgrade to the model we seen in 2011, with a 15.6 inch display, full keyboard and number pad, a quad-core i7 CPU, 2GB AMD dedicated GPU, 8GB RAm and a massive 1TB HDD.

According to Samsung the new Series 7 will also last a full 11 hours on a full charge, and will include a set of JBL speakers, and a 300-nit Full HD 10-point touch screen display.

Alongside the Chronos, Samsung also announced a new Ultrabook with a similar design named the Series 7 Ultra, which will pack a 13.3 inch display with 350 nits, 10-point touch screen and the choice of a core i5 or i7 chipset.

The Ultrabook will also include a 256GB SSD as standard with an eight-hour battery life.

We are sure we will hear more about both these devices during CES 2013, for all  of the news that may follow check out our dedicated CES 2013 event page.
