Samsung has just tweeted out an invite for an event in August when they are going to “reveal the latest member of the Galaxy family”.

It is expected that this will be the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, and we think that not only due to the Note-like outline image that includes a stylus pen on the invite but also due to the description, which states that they will unveil “the ultimate multitasking device for those who want to do bigger things with their phone”.

The unveil will kick off at this Samsung Unpacked celebration event in New York City on August 23rd. It is scheduled to begin at 11 AM EST.

This is quite interesting.

Samsung normally unveils the latest Note smartphone at IFA, so it was originally expected that it would be launched at some point in September, that may not be the case now.

We don’t know much about the official specs just yet, however, rumours have suggested that it will feature the latest Exynos or Qualcomm chips depending on region and 6GB of RAM.
