Samsung recently announced their new premium smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Alpha which is expected to go on sale next month in several global markets, in particular the UK for a price range of £499 unlocked.

Those who do reside in the UK will be able to pre-order the phone from August 28th.

From that date users will be able to place orders from various Samsung retailer outlets and a number of selected retail programs. In particular it will be available at the Samsung Experience Stores and the Samsung Store at Westfield Stratford City. Carphone Warehouse will also stock the device from September 12th.

In terms of specs the Samsung Galaxy Alpha has a 4.7 inch Super AMOLED display with a 1280 x 720 pixel resolution, an octa-core processor the includes a quad core 1.3GHz processor and a quad core 1.8GHz processor.

Inside you will also find 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage, around the back there’s a 12 megapixel camera, along with a 2 megapixel camera on the front and a 1,860 mAh battery inside.

The phone also runs on Android 4.4 KitKat.
