Android 4.4 KitKat is the latest version of Android that is currently available, however a lot of smartphones are still getting updates to previous versions and the latest versions of the mobile OS, a couple of those smartphones include the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy Note 3, which are only just getting the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update in the UK.

This comes after it was announced that the update will hit T-Mobile in the US, however the update will also be coming to the world for the unlocked versions of the handsets.

The update is sized at between 300-400MB, and features a number of new improvements and features to both of the devices, including some visual tweaks that includes white notification icons as well as some new features like a new immersive mode, translucent notification bars, cloud printing support and a few more.

The update is now rolling out across the UK, so if you have one of the two devices you should have a notification to download it soon, however it could take some time for some users.
