SanDisk has this week revealed their own new range of solid state drives, or SSDs, dubbed the SanDisk Z400s, the new range offers impeccable specs at a budget price.

“The Z400s represents a feat of engineering that addresses the needs of two distinct markets—PC OEM manufacturers and embedded application designers,”-“With a single architecture, SanDisk is able to provide OEMs with an affordable solution for displacing HDDs in today’s cutting edge consumer devices, and help embedded application designers avoid overpaying for un-needed space—all while delivering the peak performance and high-reliability that only SSDs can supply.” – Rizwan Ahmed, senior director of product marketing, client platform solutions at SanDisk.

These drives have been created specifically to serve a wider audience of users, granting users a lower power consumption and faster read and write speeds.

In fact SanDisk has stated that the drives will provide users with 20 times the performance of a normal hard drive, whilst only using about 1/20th as much power with 5 times the reliability.

You can find out more about the new drives at the source link below, the drives will be available in sizes that include 32GB, 64GB, 128GB and 256GB.
