In celebration of their 35th anniversary Seagate has today announced a new portable hard drive during CES 2015.

Dubbed the Seagate Seven the hard drive is interesting because it has both a 500GB storage capacity and is only 7mm thin, making it the thinnest portable hard drive in the world.

The hard drives enclosure has also been designed to look great, inspired by the bare 3.5 inch hard drives that the company sells, the portable hard drive is made from all metal.

At the moment we don’t know anything more about the hard drive than that, but we do know that the drive will be available in the US from mid-to-late January for $99.
