Sennheiser has today unveiled what is probably the best pair of headphones you will find, called the Sennheiser Orpheus HE90, the headphones are an updated version of the headphones that were designed 25 years ago.
Packing its own valve amp, Orpheus is said to be 10 years in the making and comes with a new signal processor, marble-clad design and a motorised housing that reveals those breathtakingly spectacular knobs and valves when you turn it on.
But it’s not all just about look, Orpheus has been built with the audiophile in mind, using oxygen free copper cabling and fine German leather, it’s probably going to break a few hearts.
And we haven’t even got to the specs yet.
Featuring eight DAC’s for a total sampling rate of up to 384 kHz and a frequency response of 8Hz – “more than” 100kHz.
Sadly not everyone will be able to pick up a pair of these headphones however, and most probably won’t want to, with only 300 available and a massive $55,000 price tag to boot.
And if they are your thing you will have to wait until next year to pick them up, but whilst you are waiting you can go take a fond gander at the source link below.
