Sennheiser has today announced a new updated model for their range of Momentum headphones at CES in Las Vegas, ditching wires completely, the new versions of the headphones are completely wireless.

To do this the new headphones come with both NFC and Bluetooth technology, meaning that users can stream audio from their device via Bluetooth, and even quickly pair the two by tapping an NFC enabled smartphone or tablet.

The headphone’s also use Sennheiser’s own noise cancellation technology called NoiseGard which uses four microphones to monitor and block out any ambient noise.

They also have a battery that is said to last up to 22 hours from a single charge, and will feature a three-button in-line remote with an integrated mic.

harles Cha, Product Manager at Sennheiser Consumer Electronics said the following about the new headphones:

“The MOMENTUM headphones represent our uncompromised vision and passion to go further and push for something even better. They are for people that share this spirit, demand the best and refuse to compromise – delivering sound quality, progressive technology and high-quality materials in a product that is built to last.”

“MOMENTUM never stands still, which is why we are launching the second generation of MOMENTUM headphones, with greater comfort, convenience and innovative new wireless models.” Powered by the audio specialist’s proprietary transducers, they deliver the acclaimed MOMENTUM sound signature – detailed, pure and with a slight bass emphasis.
