The SimCity creators announced a short time ago that SimCity will indeed be making its way to the Mac on June 11th.

Announced via an e-mail, Maxis announced that the download will be available using Origin and will be free for all of those that already own SimCity on PC, all be it a physical or digital copy.

It’s also cross-platform compatible, meaning that players can play on the same services, and will be able to play both versions with the same Origin account.

All those who did purchase SimCity for the PC, will find the Mac version of the game already loaded on their My Games page, you simply hover over SimCity, click info and then look in the “Add-ons & Bonuses” section.

However you will not be able to play the Mac version until June 11.
