A new Indiegogo campaign has this week been launched by a company called Retro Computers, designed to bring the iconic ZX Spectrum into the future in the form of a handheld games console.

Called the Sinclair ZX Spectrum Vega+, it uses the same styling of the original ZX Spectrum, but with new specifications to bring it into the 21st century.

It will also come with 1,000 games that have already been licensed and included on the console, available to play using the handheld’s LCD screen and range of buttons.

Currently, they are looking for £100,000 to get the Vega+ console into production, to get to which they are offering backers their own consoles for backings of £100 or more.
